I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Martina. I live on the Maine coast and am a mother to Jesse, who is 9. In the past week I have taken a shift with this page. I'm starting to homeschool Jesse. So be prepared for more posts on this experience. I'm going to be his "guide on the side" using the philosophy of what excites him. This is pretty much the unschooling method. Gone are all the curriculums and "shoulds" from our world. We are going to be guided by joy!
For the past 6 years I've been diving deep into what my purpose here on earth is and I've started a healing business doing Ayurveda, meditation, and guiding people in nature. I struggled with it because it felt like I was trying to force something to happen.
Since July I have been letting go and allowing life to unfold on its own as I keep my focus on being one with Light, Love, and my true Heart! It has been incredibly freeing. The burden of "doing something that matters" has been lifted off my shoulders. Now I'm simply resting in my own Light and it feels so right.
Here's a quote from a book I am reading that summarizes my philosophy for life and homeschooling my son. It's about living as though we are Heaven on Earth, and that's all that matters!
"When you choose the abundance of the Kingdom (ie rest in your heart or Heaven on Earth),
there is born a way of living which requires no planning,
no achievement,
no securing of one's survival,
All is prepared before you.
....
What life could be lighter than one requiring
not a trace of struggles?
What joy could surpass participation
in the eternal abundance which is the
presence of the [Light],
and the awakening of the Sun in everyone?"
