Pangu Shengong:
Mystical Qigong

Why do I want to teach Pangu Shengong?

Nothing lights up my heart more than coming together with others while immersed in the pure love, light, and peace of Pangu Shengong. I feel deeply drawn to sharing this practice because of its potential to support healing, inner peace, and a deeper connection with ourselves and one another. My hope is to bring people together in small groups throughout Maine, especially in the naturally peaceful settings of the outdoors, where we can experience the beauty of nature alongside the healing energy of Pangu Shengong. I would love to create spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience the peace and healing that come from this practice.

My experience with Pangu Shengong

I felt a deep connection to the subtle energy of Pangu Shengong almost immediately. I could feel its healing power when I experienced headaches or toothaches, and found that simply completing one round of the moving form brought relief. Within my first three months, I eagerly learned the moving form, healing form, and non-moving form, wanting to deepen my connection with the practice.

As I continued practicing, I noticed a blossoming of creativity in my life and a deeper connection to my heart space, with feelings of love flowing more freely. I began bringing the principles of Pangu Shengong, "Take kindness and benevolence as the basis; take frankness and friendliness to heart," into different areas of my life. I could see how this energy and these principles were transforming my life moment by moment and positively affecting those around me.

I also enjoyed sharing the healing form with my family and seeing its benefits in their lives. The non-moving form has been especially restful for me, helping me settle into a deeper sense of calm and fall asleep more easily.

A few months after learning all three forms, I had the opportunity to meet with Olivia Ou, Master Ou's daughter, at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in the Bahamas for three days. During that time, I was able to immerse myself in longer Pangu Shengong sessions, practicing up to three or four hours a day. My body felt energized with pure light and peace. This experience deepened my connection to the practice and inspired me to return home with a renewed commitment to practicing more regularly and wholeheartedly.

What is Pangu Shengong?

Pangu Shengong is a unique and deeply spiritual form of qigong that has its origins in the mystical experiences of its founder, Master Ou, in China during the 1970s.

During the Cultural Revolution, while imprisoned in China, Master Ou Wen Wei had a profound spiritual experience involving a being known as Pangu. He later wrote about this experience in a series of books called The Path of Life. After reading his writings, people began reporting remarkable experiences of healing and asked Master Ou if he could develop exercises that would help them connect with the energy described in his books.

This led to the development of Pangu Shengong, a practice consisting of very simple, gentle movements inspired by the sun and moon. Although the movements are easy to learn, the practice has a deeper spiritual foundation and is based on connecting with qi, the universal life force energy.

Through this connection with qi, Pangu Shengong is intended to help balance and harmonize the body, support the immune system, increase vitality and energy, and encourage spiritual growth. It offers an opportunity to nurture well-being on physical, energetic, and spiritual levels.

There are four forms of Pangu Shengong: the Moving Form, the Non-Moving Form, the Healing Form, and the Advanced Condensed Form. The first step in learning the practice is the Moving Form, which combines simple movements with a specific password and an intention rooted in love, kindness, and benevolence.

With consistent and sincere practice, many people have reported profound experiences of healing, transformation, and increased vitality. These experiences and personal accounts can be explored on the Pangu Shengong website.

The practice can also be enriched through the Path of Life books and the Pangu Shengong healing music, which are intended to support and deepen the experience.

At its heart, Pangu Shengong is a practice of connecting with universal life energy through simplicity, sincerity, and the energy of love.
