Nature Sitting of Downeast Maine

"The earth has music for those who listen." George Santayana

Join others on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 3-4pm to sit in the forest in silence. All people are welcome (even quiet children). During the time people can meditate, rest, write, draw, or simply watch the beauty of nature. This group is part of the Wild Church Network. There is no religious affiliation. It's a place where people can come together to connect with earth in any way.

Location Directions:

We will be meeting at my house in Surry at 589 Road. The spot we sit in is 3-4 minute walk to the 40 acres of forest behind the house. The directions are not correct in Google Maps, so don’t use that! The house is located 3 miles from downtown Ellsworth or 3 miles from the post office in Surry. It’s very close to the Surry/Ellsworth town line. Park in the driveway or yard past the garage. There is no public restroom yet, but you are welcome to use the woods!

I look forward to sitting with you in the peace of the forest!

Much Love,

Martina
